Op zaterdag 21 januari 2012 organiseerde de Neeroeterse club "Gleann Dobhran" hun allereerste Burns Anniversary Dinner met als sprekers: Paul Swennen (Call of the Haggis, To a mouse), William Taylor (Tam O'Shanter), Janny Henkens (Selkirk Grace, Address to a haggis); Davy Houben (Toast to the lassies) & Wendy Henkens (Reply on the toast to the lassies), Lydia Van Goethem & Ian/Tess Houben (Three little ducks). Op het menu stond: Cock O'Leekie, Haggis, neeps & tatties, Cloothie Dumpling, Coffee-cheese-crackers. Schotse gasten: William & Irene Taylor uit Shieldon-Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, Schotland.
